Social Security Information Service

The “Social Security Information Service” started with a goal to make the society where anyone can receive the welfare benefit at any time if he or she is a Korean citizen. Since the establishment in 2009, it has been operating various social security information systems and increasing the efficiency of welfare service.

The ‘Korea Health & Welfare Information Service’ which had raised the cost reduction and efficiency of welfare finance in Korea and been developed into a central institution of social security information, received the 1st prize of ‘UN Public Service Awards’ in 2014 for such accomplishment’.

In July 2015, it has been born again as the “Social Security Information Service’ in order to become a strong bridge of hope, which connects citizens with social security.

The ‘Social Security Information Service’, which has established the social security information system to accomplish the visiting welfare, shall be always with citizens as a professional institution of creating health & welfare information, which practices a warm welfare centered at citizens of Korea.

The ‘Social Security Information Service’ (S.S.I.S) is operating the social security information system for every citizen to enjoy the necessary welfare with equal right.

The S.S.I.S is making an effort to accomplish a customized welfare through ‘Haengbok-E-eum’, a support system of welfare service handling, and operating various welfare projects of government efficiently and comprehensively to support more transparent and effective welfare service.

The S.S.I.S, which offers various welfare information services to improve the life quality of citizens, offers the necessary social service to every citizen with a ‘voucher card’, and operates a childcare information system for the happy childcare.

In addition, the S.S.I.S does not spare the best support to let the welfare service reach at the places through the information wherever citizens are, up to the social welfare facilities and vulnerable class along with the public health & medical treatment.

Moreover, the S.S.I.S is making an effort to become helpful in the real life of citizens through the operation of ‘Bokjiro’, a welfare public portal and ‘G-Health’, a representing portal for citizens’ health.
